EKAT – Anholt Island Airport v1.0
EKAT – Anholt Island Airport, Denmark
VFR operations, 650 x 20 m. Grass Runway, Apron Concrete/Grass.
Anholt is a small Island Aerodrome in Kattegat, the sea between Northern Denmark and Sweden. In the winter the island has only 138 inhabitants,
but more 60.000 persons visit the island in the summer, due to the very beautifull and rare nature. 80% of the island is desert, and in MSFS2020 the island are rendered with all too much vegetation. You’ll find quiertness, clean air, lots of seals, and nearly no cars on the island.
Flying is only for proficient pilots, and a very carefully planned flight must be carried out due to the extreme conditions. A small island in the middle of a great sea, with quickly changing weather conditions, mostly a lot of wind and turbulens, and a tricky approach over the sand dunes, before landing on a sandy and short grass strip gives the max challenge to any pilot.
In the summertime, CAT – Copenhagen Air Taxi has more than 40 weekly flights from EKRK-Copenhagen Airport Roskilde to Anholt, and the trusty
BN2 Britten Norman Islander continues from Anholt to Laesoe if there are passegers for the journey.
This scenery is created with MSFS SDK and Stock objects. Just unzip, and put the ekat folder into your MSFS community folder
Hope You will enjoy flying to Anholt
