MRLC Los Chiles Added for FSE v0.9
With MRLC, I have not resurrected a defunct airport. Nope, in real life, MRLC is alive and well but for some reason ain’t in MSFS. I think the reason is because there’s a big cloud over the site in the Bing image. Still, apparently Open Street Map knows about it because in the game, the surrounding town of Los Chiles (also under the cloud) exists and includes by default a clear, flat area where the airport should be.
Google Maps has a clear (if low-res) view of the airport so I’ve made the layout true to life. 1 asphalt strip with a turnaround at each end and an unpaved apron at the town end. In real life, the airport has no services, no lights, and not even runway markings. But I built this for FSE where it has a passenger terminal and fuel, so I left the adjacent default buildings and gave it a fuel spot. Also, I painted the runway and added lights.
KNOWN ISSUE: The runway edge lights encroach on the apron. This is an MSFS bug where the edge lights are never closer together than 30m, even if the runway is narrower.
