Air France (IATA Code: AF; ICAO Code: AFR) is the French national airline, founded on October 7, 1933. Its main activities are the transport of passengers and freight as well as the maintenance and servicing of aircraft.
It serves the main French airports as well as many foreign airports. Its main hub is located at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport with which it has numerous operating agreements. Paris-Orly airport is the company’s second hub and is used mainly for flights to overseas territories and for regional flights. The airline is part of the privatized Air France-KLM group and is also a founding member of the Skyteam alliance. Air France has IOSA certification from IATA2.
Air France is one of the airlines serving the largest number of destinations in the world with Turkish Airlines and has one of the largest fleets of Boeing 777s. In addition, Air France is the only airline in the world to have operated all the aircraft of the Airbus family (A300 (retired from the fleet), A310 (retired from the fleet), A318, A319, A320, A321, A330, A340, A350 and A380 (retired from the fleet)).
