NK79 – Lewis Landing, Slate Hill, NY, USA v1.0
NK79 Lewis Landing, Slate Hill, New York, USA
A private, grass runway hidden in the low mountain areas of southern New York State, Lewis Landing provides a beautiful starting point for VFR flying in the New York/New Jersey area. Positioned just east of the Hugenot VOR, you can take off and head north near Monticello and the winding lakes in that area. Or down southeast to near Greenwood lake for some amazing New Jersey site seeing. There are no fueling facilities at this airport.
This is dual direction, grass runway. On the east side is a vineyard, and the west side is a sloping hill that drops into the end of the runway…so manage your approach as it can be tricky with a crosswind.
Includes:
– 4 Parking areas
– New stock static scenery and other objects added in.
– Night lighting which will assist in a visual approach. No VASI or any other lighted approach.
– A windsock visible in daytime and night.
– Runway is Treelined as it should and is very thick.
Uses all default scenery.
