KCID – The Eastern Iowa Airport
This mod remakes KCID, also known as The Eastern Iowa Airport, includes airport renovations through 2021. New models include the terminal, ATC Tower, Collins Aerospace/Rockwell Collins Hnagars/Building, and more than a dozen others. Also includes high resolution updated ground poly.
Airport Summary:The Eastern Iowa Airport, ICAO KCID, is a regional medium sized airport located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa that serves a ever growing number of passengers, more than 1.3 million in 2019. It offers passenger service via Allegiant Air, American Eagle, Delta Air Lines, Delta Connection, Frontier, United, and United Express. Top destinations include Las Vegas, Nashville, Phoenix, Punta Gorda Fl., Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis/St.Paul, and Denver.
It also serves cargo destinations through DHL Aviation, FedEx Express and UPS to Cincinnati, Kansas City, Des Moines, Indianapolis, Memphis, Madison, Sioux Falls, Chicago, Louisville, Miami, Portland Oregon, and Spencer Iowa.
Located centrally between major Airports such as Minneapolis/St. Paul and Chicago as well as Denver KCID is a great place to pick up some passengers or refuel, or just fly around the cornfields of Iowa for fun as KCID also servers general aviation.

Addon Information:This airport addon for Microsoft Flight Sim 2020 is a fully functioning realization of KCID that includes improvements made to the airport post 2021, including updated terminal and west cargo ramp.
KCID has two runways, 9/27 and 13/31. 9/27 has ILS approach capability, which is fully implemented in game with correct visual slope indicators and MALSR approach lighting.
Almost all buildings have been fully modeled from scratch and include high-resolution PBR texturing, including 2021 updated terminal, ATC Tower, Collins Aerospace/Rockwell Collins hangar and area, Signature flight services FBO building and hangar, airport maintance building, public safety building, airport administration building, GA hangars, “Seagull” sculpture at entrance of airport, custom “feet left on runway” signs, and more.
Missing structures include a few different hangar types, western cargo apron building, and air observation radar.
