Markham Aiport – CNU8 (WIP) v0.2
THIS PROJECT IS WIP
CNU8 is a small private airport northeast of Toronto, just slightly south of stouffville. This small airport is used for private aircraft and gliding sessions for Air Cadet squadrons in the GTA area. As an Air Cadet (from 883) myself, I felt dissatisfied to see such a sad looking default airport. So with the use of google maps, some sketchy images and my fish-like memory, I stitched up a scenery enchancement of this airport.
Changes:
Revamped the buildings and hangars near the apron
Added static aircraft and containers on the grass fields
Added a parking area with cars
Added a light to illuminate the apron at night
Added some small miscellaneous objects
As this is my first scenery ever made, there are some issues:
There are two parking spots, one of which is in the parking lot, do not use
The default fueling station could not be removed, hopefully I manage a way to in the future
There is an inoperative airport beacon light. The one in the default scenery is still there, placed on the northern part of the airport which is incorrect
The street lamps are inoperative
The buildings in the far west side of the airport have not been changed
No buildings and static aircraft are true-to-life as I have yet to understand blender and other 3d software. I used in-game assets from the simulator instead. There are also barely any clear reference photos.
