Irish Air Corps Cessna 172 Skyhawk (G1000) v1.0
A simple Irish Air Corps repaint of the Cessna 172 Skyhawk (G1000), based on Reims Rocket FR172H livery of 104 Squadron Irish Air Corps. The Air Corps operated a total of 9 Reims Rocket’s from 1972 until 2019 when the final 5 were retired. Throughout their service life they accumulated 63,578 flight hours.
The main intended role of the aircraft was for Border surveillance flights during the Troubles, as well as pilot training, aerial reconnaissance, prisoner escorts, explosive escorts, aerial photography, ATC training, in-shore maritime surveillance patrols, parachuting, target towing, display flying, bog surveys, wildlife surveys, and general transportation flights.
Once downloaded just drop the ‘IrishAirCorps-Cessna-172-(G1000)’ folder into your Community folder
Known Issues:
Texture is not 110% accurate but it’s got most things right
Currently the livery is only available on the G1000 version of the Cessna 172 – as I don’t own the Deluxe edition of MSFS there wasn’t much motivation to make a version for the gauge variant of the 172 (despite the fact it is more fitting), however I may add a version in the future (I believe they use the same model so its just a matter of config’in a new version)
