USA Airport Layout Enhancement Package v1.0
The goal of this scenery package is finite in its focus. Please ensure you read the description in its entirety and have a full understand of what I am trying to accomplish here.
MSFS airport layouts are better than previous sims by a nearly immeasurable amount. However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t outdated or incorrect airfields. Working alongside EDDB2020 on his Basic Airport Enhancement package, I have attempted to add to his work with a focus on small-medium sized USA airports which are in need of fine tuning. I have focused on 3 main areas:
-Gate renumbering and alignment
-Runway/taxiway alignment/lighting/coloration as per Google Maps and Airnav
-Airport lighting (there will be some overlap with work done previously by Andres3D on his Airport Lights package, see dependencies)
-Adding some hangars where they are missing using default libraries (you may need the SWF airport which comes with MSFS Deluxe). PLEASE NOTE – I will be unable to change default buildings except removing them. I cannot add or replace terminal buildings.
Version 1.0 has the following:
KLIT – Little Rock – taxiway lighting, runways fixed, added parking, ramp lighting
KLAL – Lakeland – added new taxiways, realigned runways, added Amazon ramp and building, ramp lighting
KMLB – Melbourne – changed parking, taxiway lighting, uses Andres3D lighting
KORL – Orlando Executive – changed taxiway layout, ramp layout, fixed landclass
KVRB – Vero Beach – added Elite Airways parking, added missing taxiways
KSRQ – Sarasota – changed terminal parking, removed second ATC tower, updated taxiways, used Andres3D lighting
KPWM – Portland – fixed ramps and terminal parking, added missing taxiway, added lighting, removed second tower
KDTW – Detroit – removed old north terminal buildings, realigned parking, uses Andres3D lighting
KFAR – Fargo – added missing taxiway, fixed taxiway lighting, uses Andres3D lighting
KMYR – Myrtle Beach – added new south taxiway, fixed west ramp, realigned parking, added some missing hangars, airport lighting
KPHF – Newport News – realigned parking, added ramp lighting
