It’s finally here everybody, our first 3rd party freeware plane for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, the DR400-140B Dauphin. Sound familiar? That’s because it’s a modded version of the DR400/100 Cadet that comes standard. However there are some novel improvements to the DR400 that Dranbar has added (note that the livery of the plane is not yet updated):

  • Engine : Lycoming O-320 160HP
  • Fuel consumption matched with real one (~31l/h at 2500rpm at 1000ft)
  • Propeler : Change diameter and pitch angle
  • Mass and balance: changed MTOW and ZFW
  • Added passenger in the back (virtually)
  • Fixed the capacity of the tank
  • Engine tweaks
  • Update 25th Aug 2020:
    • New cockpit and gauges textures
    • Ile RPM fixed
    • Oil temp behaviour improvements

HOW TO INSTALL
Simply drag the contents of the zip file into your community folder, help on finding that folder can be seen in the video below, if it is not in it’s usual spot (image to the right):

Your community folder should look something like this after install (note: if this is your first addon, then the “aircraft-dr400-140b” will be the only thing in there – I just have a few installed currently).
